From Saturday, March 21 through Monday, March 23, the athletes competed in multiple bouts against strong international opponents. In total, the team completed ten fights and one exhibition — an impressive schedule that demanded both physical and mental resilience.
The results were outstanding: Team Supreme secured eight victories, three of which were decided early by RSC (Referee Stops Contest). This performance highlighted not only the talent of the fighters, but also the quality of their preparation and coaching.
One of the highlights of the tournament came on Saturday, when Shermilon Susana stopped his opponent, national champion Yorbin Marcano, before the final bell. This convincing victory showcased his level and potential on the international stage.
International tournaments like these are crucial for the development of young athletes. They provide valuable experience against unfamiliar and often high-level opponents, while also contributing to personal growth, discipline, and confidence. Moreover, international exposure helps raise the overall level of the athletes and prepares them for future championships.
Team Supreme can look back on a highly successful trip, where sporting achievements and development went hand in hand.
