Boxer Raekwon Baas, born and raised in Curaçao, made his return to competitive boxing with a victory in the Netherlands, October 4 2025.
At a boxing gala organized by Boxing Godschalk at the Gaffelaar sports hall in Zwartewaal, Raekwon Baas (FitBoyz010) defeated talent team member Jochem Zuijdgeest (RBV Van ‘t Hof).
Raekwon’s father, CuraBox president Edwin Baas, says the victory is wonderful and important, but even more importantly, after injuries and long recovery his body withstood the test well.
Raekwon’s trainer, Rodney Ernst, indicates that Raekwon is ready for an international tournament in Denmark in early November and the Dutch Championships, which begin on November 22nd.
