A delegation of the Curacao Boxing Association (CuraBox) consisting of boxers Nahdir Haseth, Jady Gogulski, Fabian Williams and under the supervision of Coregelino Djaoen (national coach) and Edwin Baas (CuraBox president) is in the Netherlands for the 2024 Dutch Championships of the Dutch Boxing Federation NBB (Nederlandse Boksbond).
Nahdir Haseth (17) won the final on November 16 in Breda and is now Dutch champion in the youth class up to 54 kg.
Nahdir won Marciano Schel from Team HVO and with this victory he immediately avenged his loss during the Dutch championships 2 years ago, against the same opponent.
Nahdir did not get his talent for boxing from a stranger, because his father is the former multiple champion in Muay Thai, kickboxing and pro-boxing, Renato Haseth.
Jady Gogulski in the class up to 71 kg boxed a very good bout and we and many others thought he had won, but 2 of the 3 judges had a different opinion.
Fabian Williams won unanimously and will face the experienced Ferenc Soepboer during the semi-final of the A-class up to 67 kg on Saturday, November 23. The final will be on November 24.
